About Study Course

Objective

To improve knowledge and skills in the fields of civil law, civil procedure law, and commercial law; to develop competencies related to independent work – information search, processing and analysis, teamwork, decision making, and reasoning.

Preliminary Knowledge

Civil Law, Civil Procedure Law and Commercial Law at the level of Bachelor’s study programme.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students acquire knowledge of current issues in the field of civil law, civil procedure and commercial law, are able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of problematic issues and development trends, which provide the basis for creative thinking, including working at a point of intersection of different fields.

Skills

1.Students strengthen their skills in case solving, are able to prepare and analyse legal documents independently.

Competences

1.Students are able to analyse legal acts and case law independently, find the best solution to a legal problem, justify the decisions made, work in a team.

To complete the course in accordance with the topics foreseen in the course description, to analyse the current case law on the study course topics, to prepare procedural documents: application, appeal, cassation complaint, applications to public registers.

Attendance of seminars and submission of independent work is mandatory. The final grade consists of the following: 25% – seminar attendance, 25% – independent work, 50% – examination assessment.
