About Study Course

Objective

To teach the students to make the evaluation of a patient and evaluation of the illnesses related to the use of technical aids, to choose an appropriate and necessary aid for the patient, to make it, to train patients to use it.

Preliminary Knowledge

Prerequisites of anatomy, physiology, orthotics with soft and rigid orthoses, upper and lower limb prosthetics, clinical rehabilitation.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.After successful completion of the study course, students will gain in-depth knowledge of orthotics and prosthetics, be able to identify the patient's problem from point of view of the technical orthopedics, as well as the formulation of selection of the technical aids. To formulate manufacturing and customization stages.

Skills

1.During the study course, students have acquired sufficient theoretical and practical knowledge of orthotics and prosthetics, to be able to take the examination of a patient and interpret the results of the investigation, to be able to point appropriate choices for the patient.

Competences

1.The student has the competence to base their choice on the existing knowledge, to explain the stages of manufacture, make particular stage of manufacturing, to make the product customization and explain the use of the product.
