About Study Course

Objective

Develop research skills in health care and develop critical thinking that will contribute to the development of care science and practice.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.The student knows the stages of the implementation of research work, the ethical principles of research, the regulatory enactments regulating research.

Skills

1.As a result of study course acquisition, students will be able to prepare a scientific project (qualification work) application; to target the study, to formulate the study hypothesis and to choose the best design for the study; to identify the characteristics to be measured and to choose an appropriate study tool, to be able to carry out an independent study taking into account the ethical aspects of the study, to interpret the results of the study.

Competences

1.Will be able to self-formulate research in the field of health care; obtain, select and analyse information on the health problem by research, in line with the basic principles of scientific methodology.

Independently acquire, select and analyze information on the selected health care problem in research, in line with the basic principles of scientific methodology. Independently, in consultation with the head of the qualification job, prepare a draft of study.

Final examination: a self-prepared draft study on the selected research issue in the health care sector in relation to sister practices and presentation and defence thereof. Evaluation criteria: Assessment in the 10-party system. The final study project, which is based in scientific literature and is linked to the practice of the underlying nurse, the purpose of the study, the hypothesis/the question of the study is formulated in an appropriate and coherent manner, and the study project has selected an appropriate study design and developed based on the subject, the study instrument.
