About Study Course
Objective
To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the care of elderly haematological patients in accordance with the requirements of the haematology specialty in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the haematology specialty.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.- Will know about changes in normal haematological processes as the body ages; - Will know about options for assessing comorbidities, their impact on therapy; - Will know about geriatric oncology; - Will know about the impact of age on the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of medicines; - Will know about palliative care of patients.
Skills
1.- Will be able to prescribe treatment for geriatric patients; - Will be able to cooperate with the patient’s family members.
