About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in arterial occlusive pathologies, in accordance with the requirements of the regulations of the specialty of vascular surgery, in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the specialty of vascular surgeon, in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.-Indications, contraindications for revascularization, -Conservative treatment methods, -Early and late complications of revascularization, -Know exactly the anatomical courses of blood vessels for more frequent reconstructions.

Skills

1.The student will be able to: - Diagnose the level of arterial occlusion, - Timely detection of early complications after revascularization, -Choose the diagnostic method and principles of treatment in case of complications, -Give patients recommendations after operations. Learn basic and intermediate surgical and endovascular procedure skills. Designate and interpret the necessary pre- and post-operative examination materials, as well as in the remote period. Designate competent recommendations for patients with occlusive arterial diseases.

Competences

1.The student will be able to: - Diagnose the level of arterial occlusion, - Timely detection of early complications after revascularization, - Choose diagnostic methods and treatment principles in cases of complications, - Give patients recommendations after operations.
