Preliminary Knowledge

Anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and histology, pathology, pharmacology.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.After successful fulfilment of the study course requirements, the student will have acquired knowledge, which will allow to describe pharmacotherapeutic groups, as well as to formulate their mechanisms of action, indications and contraindications, as well as side effects.

Skills

1.As a result of completing the study course, students will be able to select the most appropriate medicines in an individualised dosage regimen according to the specific situation to ensure optimal patient treatment and disease prevention.

Competences

1.As a result of completing the study course, students will be able to: 1. Formulate mechanisms of action of medicines, indications and contraindications, as well as side effects. 2. Independently obtain, select and analyse information about medicines, use thereof in the treatment process. 3. Orient in specific literature.
