About Study Course

Objective

The course is aimed at Latvian flow students within the framework of the Jules Allemand Trophy aesthetic renewal Championship. Student limit - 1 group - 8 students. Develop and deepen theoretical knowledge of dental surface morphology. Develop in-depth practical skills in aesthetic dental restorations, explore direct restoration techniques in the frontal and lateral dental area. As part of the course, students are being prepared for an international aesthetic sealing competition for the Jules Allemand Trophy final round. Students born in Latvia who have undergone in-depth theoretical and practical training may participate in the final round.

Preliminary Knowledge

Mandatory clinical practical skills in the course of therapeutic stomatology; Dental anatomy; Knowledge of biomaterials; Latin; Histology; Dental solid tissue pathologies; Dental optics; X-ray.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.“students list the proportion of their faces and a set of smile criteria at really dental restorations. - students are able to describe and see the detailed morphology of the surface of their teeth. - students are able to classify and differentiate optical characteristics of dental tissue. - students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge, about the methods of restoring teeth, to clinical work.

Skills

1.- Select the direct dental restoration method. - creates optical effects based on color map analysis. - surface treatment and polishing is performed on a reconstituted tooth fragment.

Competences

1.Evaluate the extent, method and technique of restoration, direct aesthetic restoration of the tooth.

The course is for Latvian flow students, as part of the Jules Allemand Trophy aesthetic Restoration Championship. Student limit - 1 group - 8 students. In the practical test, frontal and direct aesthetic restoration of the tooth, polishing minutes applied correctly. Will determine and select the best student work representing RSU and Latvia in the final of the annual International aesthetic sealing Championship Jules Allemand Trophy.
