About Study Course

Objective

To provide students with a depth understanding of the nature, principles and practical application of social innovations in improving public health by developing skills in promoting the physical activity of persons.

Analysis of scientific achievements on social innovations in the provision of physical activity, highlighting the link between the nature of theory and social innovation and the result of innovation. Analyse the content of at least 3 recent global scientific studies: title of study, year of publication (2020-2025), objective, hypothesis, tasks, methods, justification for the concept of basic research innovation, analysis and assessment of results.

Development of a group project in the planning of a health promotion initiative and content development in the provision of physical activities for a specific target group. Identification of problems in the provision of physical activity, identification of demand for social innovation in a particular target group, team building, planning and content development of a physical activity initiative, identification of necessary resources, evaluation of the initiative.

Students will gain an understanding of how sedentariness, stress, sleep patterns and nutrition affect a person’s health, as well as physical activity recommendations for different target groups and strategies for promoting them.

Description

Students will understand the theoretical justification for behavioural change, the importance of psychological and social factors that influence people’s decisions about pursuing a physically active and healthy lifestyle. Students will be able to analyse human behaviour and understand the application of appropriate patterns of behaviour change to effectively promote the formation of physical activity habits.
