About Study Course

Objective

Acquiring, strengthening and improving theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the treatment of various diseases and functional disorders using acupuncture and moxibustion therapy (Zhen Jiu) methods.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.The student has acquired the necessary theoretical knowledge about the causes of diseases of different profiles (including symptoms and syndromes), variants of clinical manifestations, methods of diagnosis, differential diagnosis and therapy in accordance with the basic theoretical principles of traditional Chinese medicine.

Skills

1.The student has strengthened practical skills and experience in the investigation, diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment, primary and secondary prevention of diseases of various profiles, as well as solving tasks in clinical situations.

Competences

1.Formulates and critically analyses the indications for the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome therapy according to the clinical situation in line with the theoretical concepts of traditional Chinese medicine. Ability: • to interpret examination data; • to differentiate syndromes; • able to formulate a diagnosis according to the theoretical concepts of traditional Chinese medicine; • to substantiate the indications for acupuncture use and its interaction with basic therapy for patients of different profiles; • to develop a treatment plan; • to justify one’s choice of therapy tactics.
