About Study Course

Objective

To promote the acquisition of basic knowledge of social work with a case.

Preliminary Knowledge

Understanding of the legal aspects of professional activity, knowledge of the organisation of social work, knowledge of social assistance and social services.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Acquires knowledge of social work with a case, the role of a social worker in work with a social case, the documentation required in the work, the resources to be involved, etc.

Skills

1.Masters the skills of preparing the necessary documentation on the basis of social cases and working with the necessary documentation in the social case intervention/ intervention leading process; identifying social problems; planning the intervention process; identifying resources/ forms of assistance/ capabilities of the social services network.

Competences

1.Able to use the acquired knowledge and skills in social work with a case, when solving a case, and to offer adequate resources to reduce or eliminate the problem. Able to justify priorities in the attraction of resources and to plan social services. Able to develop ethical, empathic and culture-sensitive interaction in professional work. Able to independently integrate knowledge and skills to perform social work with an individual and family in a targeted and responsible way.

To independently study literature, to familiarise with theoretical material in e-studies, to complete assignments, to take an active part in lectures/classes, study visits. To participate in group works and simulations. To prepare for the exam, to develop a case analysis scheme based on methodologies and to prepare for the presentation. To present the result at the seminar. To complete a course evaluation questionnaire at the end of the course!
