About Study Course

Objective

To provide an opportunity to acquire comprehensive knowledge about the development and structure of the human body, organ topography and function.

Preliminary Knowledge

Basic knowledge of biology.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.As a result of completing the study course, students will be able to name the parts of the human body, organ systems, and their functions. They will be able to explain the structure, location and functions of a particular organ, the principles of blood supply and innervation of the organ. They will know the structure of skeletal muscles, muscle attachment sites. They will know some terms in Latin (muscles).

Skills

1.The student will recognise and be able to: • show the bones of the skeleton, joints, find the bones forming the joint; • demonstrate, explain movements in all body joints; • name and justify the work of the involved muscles; • classify organs and other anatomical structures in the preparations demonstrated and other visual aids.

Competences

1.The student will be able: • to integrate their knowledge of anatomy into massage training; • to use the acquired theoretical and practical knowledge, skilfully explaining the principles of body structure when working with the client.
