Objective

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.As a result of completing the study course, students will know the aetiology and pathogenesis of internal diseases, recognise and define clinical symptoms and syndromes, will be able to name and describe diagnostic methods and principles of disease treatment.
Skills
1.Students will use the acquired knowledge in dealing with different situations: they will be able to explain the tasks, principles, nature and purpose of massage to the patient, their relatives and carers. Will be able to explain to the patient, their relatives and carers the patient’s own role in achieving the desired goals from the massage.
Competences
1.As a result of completing the study course, students will be able to identify clinical signs of diseases and syndromes and differentiate between them, analyse situations, argue, logically formulate and explain their opinion. Will be able to correlate the patient’s symptoms, syndromes, prescribed measures and the masseur’s role in solving the patient’s problems. To independently perform the duties of a masseur related to the treatment, care and psychological support of a patient.

Independent work in practical classes – presentation, solving situational tasks, recognition of clinical cases – assessment 20%.
