About Study Course
Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.- to describe principles of cytological testing; - to characterise foundations of cytological diagnostics of different diseases; - to evaluate advantages of different groups of diagnostic methods; - to evaluate the use and significance of cytological examination in prevention and early diagnostics; - to characterise criteria of cytological changes.
Skills
1.- to prepare samples for cytological examination; - to evaluate signs of inflammation; - to perform cytological examination in prevention and early diagnostics of female gynaecological diseases; - to perform diagnostics of cervical precancer and cancer; - to perform cytological diagnostics of mammary gland diseases; - to perform cytological diagnostics of urinary tract and urinary bladder diseases; - to evaluate morphological changes in exudate and transudate sediments.
Competences
1.To perform a cytological examination of human biological material. Based on exercise results to perform diagnostics, differential diagnostics of oncological diseases and to interpret results. To use cytological diagnostics criteria and examination algorithms for diagnostics of diseases and to recommend further examination activity to clinicians.
