About Study Course

Objective

Predefense and defense of the developed Bachelor’s thesis. Assignment: prepare Bachelor’s thesis in accordance with the LASE requirements for the development of academic papers.

Preliminary Knowledge

Bachelor’s thesis subject and Bachelor’s thesis manager has been approved for the 3rd year of studies, according to the full-time, part-time regular study schedule of the professional Bachelor’s study programme “Physiotherapy”, an assessment regarding the third part of Bachelor’s thesis has been received.

1. Bachelor’s thesis is written and defended in the official language. 2. Bachelor’s thesis shall be drawn up in accordance with the requirements laid down in the LASE. 3. Not later than seven working days prior to defence, complete the review form and confirm/do not confirm the conformity of the work with the professional bachelor’s degree in health care professional qualification on the cover page with his or her signature. 4. The candidate shall be presented with the review not later than two working days before the defence of the work. 5. After uploading the electronic copy to the LASE Final Paper database, the candidate for a professional bachelor’s degree in health care shall submit the work to the secretary of the Commission at least two working days before the time period provided for in the schedule for defending the Bachelor’s thesis in professional bachelor’s health care.

1. Prior to submitting the work to the professional Bachelor’s Healthcare Commission, pre-defence shall take place in the department relevant to the topic of the work in accordance with the Bachelor’s thesis development and defence plan. 2. The work supervisor shall certify with his or her signature the conformity of the work with the requirements specified in the LASE - professional bachelor’s degree in health care and professional qualification a physiotherapist with specialisation in the field of sport. Reviewer presence is optional. The head of the Department, the head of the work and at least one lecturer of the Department shall participate in the pre-defence. 3. In case of a negative pre-defence conclusion, the candidate has the right to improve Bachelor’s thesis and submit to the Department for re-defence. Redefending is a paid-for service under a LASE Senate decision. 4. The Commission shall take a decision on the assessment of the development and defence of Bachelor’s thesis in professional bachelor’s healthcare by secret ballot by a majority vote. When votes are divided equally, the decision is taken in favour of the candidate. 5. Bachelor’s thesis defense score is scored on a 10-point system. The job has been defended if the assessment is at least 4 points. 6. If the assessment of the Commission in professional bachelor’s healthcare is negative, the candidate shall have the right to submit a supplemented or revised Bachelor’s thesis again within the time period specified by the bachelor’s Commission, but not sooner than one year later. Redefending is a paid service. 7. If the candidate does not agree with the assessment, he or she has the right to submit an appeal to the Rector within a working day from the moment of notification of the assessment. The Rector of the LASE shall, by decree, establish an Appeals Commission, which shall examine the materials for the development and defence of the Bachelor’s thesis within two weeks and give his or her assessment.
