Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Preparation of blood components. Compatibility tests for blood transfusion. Transfusion of blood components in surgery, neonatology, urgent medicine. Consultation general medical practitioner and other medical staff on current transfusion practices.
Skills
1.Ability to prepare blood and blood components. Ability to do immunohematological examination and compatibility testing. Ability to consult general medical practitioner and other medical staff on current transfusion practices. Ability to transfuse blood components.Patient Blood Management.
Competences
1.Finishing the course the students will have the necessary competence to work at blood establishment/ hospital blood bank/ immunohaematological laboratory, they will have good knowledge in Transfusion Medicine and approved medical technologies, if necessary they will be able to consult general medical practicioners and other medical staff on current transfusion practices.
