Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knowledge about possibilities to do sports and restrictions for people with disabilities which is an issue falling within the scope of sports medicine as a multidisciplinary field of medicine. Theoretical and practical knowledge of the impact of physical load of different kinds of sports on a human body, different movement and other disorders and adaptation of the body thereto, recommendations regarding individually adjusted physical load and physical activity restrictions.
Skills
1.Ability to reasonably select the most suitable examination methods for people with disabilities, assess results of examinations and prepare a treatment and activity plan for patients.
Competences
1.Competence in solving different clinical cases, their diagnostics, etiopathogenesis, treatment, prevention and care.

|
Theoretical knowledge is acquired in 3 seminars and individual literature studies. During practical classes students control patients under the supervision of a physician eligible to provide such training, participate in examination and treatment of a patient by mastering patient examination, as well as diagnostics and medical manipulations. A medical resident acquires different medical diagnostic methods, methodology of the manipulations to be made and medical sports classification technologies also applied in sports medicine physicians practice.

|
At the end of the study course a head of the residency programme shall assess the theoretical knowledge obtained by a medical resident in writing and verbally. The written test shall be assessed according to the 10-point grading system.
