About Study Course

Objective

To learn the basic skills of the upper limbs prosthetics. To summarize the theoretical knowledge about upper limbs prosthetics, different types and structure of the prosthesis. Acquire practical skills about upper limbs prosthetics – work with patients, investigation, evaluation, measurement. Get to know technology used in prosthetics – cast modeling, forming, structure of prosthetic, static and dynamic regulation.

Preliminary Knowledge

Basic knowledge in anatomy, physiology and biomechanics.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Upon successful completion of the study course, basic knowledge in the manufacture and application of various types of upper limb prostheses is obtained.

Skills

1.The ability to distinguish different types of prostheses, their manufacturing technology. Make patient assessment and choose the appropriate type of prosthesis and technology.

Competences

1.As a result of successful completion of the study course, students will be able to practically use the acquired knowledge and skills in prosthetics of the upper limbs, their selection, production and use training.
