About Study Course

Objective

To be able to independently carry out scientific work, Master's Thesis: to formulate and analyse problems of public health, to compile scientific literature, to develop a conceptual model, to choose the most appropriate way to obtain the data necessary for solving the problem, to perform data processing, to gather the obtained information, to analyse it, to provide its assessment and to present the results in academic text form.

Preliminary Knowledge

The theoretical part of the master's program is completed.

1.Deeply mastered theoretical approaches of the methodology of scientific research work.

1.Student is able to identify and apply appropriate research approaches to the study of a particular public health problem; Is able to carry out independent research activities at all stages of the research.

Development of Master’s thesis in accordance with RSU “Regulations on the Development and Defence of qualification Paper, student Research Paper, Bachelor’s thesis and Master’s thesis” (approved by RSU Senate on 14 October 2025, Protocol No 2-S-1/10/2025), “procedures for the submission and storage of Electronic versions of student qualifications, Bachelor’s theses, Master’s theses or other final Papers in RSU institutional Open Access e-resources repository”, Rīga Stradiņš University study Regulations I and "Metodic instructions for the Development and Defence of Master’s thesis in the academic Master’s Programme “public Health” (approved at THE VSZF Council meeting on 19 November 2025, Protocol No 5-VSZF-1/21/2025).
