About Study Course

Objective

Enable students to acquire theoretical and practical basic knowledge, professional competences in the organisation and management of ice skating teaching and learning, taking into account individual opportunities of learners and compliance with the learning outcomes to be achieved.

Preliminary Knowledge

The foundations and methodologies of skating require an understanding of the foundations of human functioning. Understanding the basics and safety conditions for organising outdoor activities and physical activities. Ability to critically evaluate the best - a possible solution in sub-standard situations while skating or skating.

Development of presentations. Lesson modelling, practical presentation in the management of skating exercises according to a self-developed hourly plan and assessment of learning according to a self-developed description of student performance levels for the assessment and self-assessment of rolling skills. Self-assessment of the hourly plan and student performance levels. Mutual evaluation of hourly plans and pupil performance strips.

The presentation is evaluated with 20 points, with a minimum score of 12 points, for success (The presentation developed must be submitted and successful - for the completion of a successful study course).

Presentation - techniques for teaching ice skating techniques (video analysis and artificial intelligence)

Test

Technologies for the teaching of skating techniques and simpler tactics and their teaching, critical evaluation of learning theories according to the competence approach (video analysis and macular intelligence).

The presentation should reflect one of the walking paths in ice skating while evaluating with video analysis programs (e.g.: MOVIE VEA, etc.). Conclusions should be drawn from the technical performance analysis. At the same time, the data should be analyzed for AI applications/applications, thus comparing the data as a whole. Further developing exercises to improve and improve technique for a given step.

Examination - training practice

Test

In training practice, the student organises and conducts ice skating exercises and/or activities from a lesson plan developed independently. The student shall teach, repeat or improve exercises and/or activities in ice skating of choice.

The student shall organise the training practice for approximately 10 - 15 minutes following the pre-specified instructions for teaching staff.

The training class of the placement must obtain a positive score of at least 12 points (minimum) - it is possible to obtain 20 points (maximum) that there is excellent activity. Conducting exercise and/or activity is a must to complete a successful course.

Practical skills test

Test

The practical skills test includes the acquisition and demonstration of basic skills.

Types of braking: T - in the form, plow, side to side on parallel skates;

Turn types: running the skates over each other, crossing the skates;

Straight forward movement: balance exercises on one leg, posture, basic forward movement;

Rearward straight movement: with feet protruding into a semicircle both and one leg;

Eighth obstacle course skating.

By completing all practical tests, it is possible to obtain 2-4 points, while a total of 12-20 points for all technical elements must be obtained for the completion of a successful study course.

Test - theoretical part - examamneen

The history of skating in Latvia and the world, the choice of inventory, content and methodology, the means of safety questions, etc. The examination includes a test form with 20 questions in which questions will be drawn up with multiple answers, as well as questions in which answers will have to be recorded themselves. To obtain a successful assessment in an exam, you must answer correctly with at least 55% of the correct answers.

In order to score 9 or 10-point answers in written form, specific arguments, authors who have studied what specific question, etc. must be exhaustively mentioned.
