About Study Course

Objective

To give the knowledge of grossing techniques of surgical material, biopsy preparation and knowledge of esophagus, stomach and bowel pathologies.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Knowledge of surgical material grossing techniques, biopsy preparation. Knowledge of pathologies of the oesophagus, stomach and bowels.

Skills

1.Permanently do the grossing of surgical material for the microtomy by approved standards.

1.Decision to make a diagnose in the gastrointestinal tract operation and biopsy material.

Theoretical test with 3 orally opened questions about the topics discussed in the course, including grossing technics, gastrointestinal tract pathologies. Practical test with 5 slides and demonstration of grossing technique in different operation materials.
