About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in transplantology in accordance with the requirements of the immunology specialty regulation.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.The student acquires knowledge to recognise immunological compatibility tests between donor and recipient of organ transplantation, analyse compatibility tests, predict the outcome of transplantation, assess clinical and laboratory signs of an immune rejection reaction, name the most important post-transplantation immunosuppressive agents, outline the use and side effects thereof.

Skills

1.Knows how to prescribe immunological tests for tissue compatibility, how to diagnose a immune rejection reaction on the basis of clinical and laboratory signs, how to determine the ways of using immunosuppressive post-transplantation agents and diagnose their side effects.

Competences

1.Acquires the competence to analyse the compatibility of donor and recipient tissues, to diagnose types of immune rejection reactions by clinical and laboratory signs and to analyse the results and side effects of post-transplantation immunosuppression.
