About Study Course
Objective
To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies of the digestive tract of children.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Determination of indications and contraindications for children with various pathologies of the digestive tract, to know the therapeutic possibilities of endoscopy in case of acute bleeding, coagulation of polyps, dilation of strictures of the digestive tract; correct interpretation of endoscopic finding results.
Skills
1.To participate as an assistant in children’s digestive tract endoscopies, the skill to use endoscopy data in the diagnosis of children’s digestive tract diseases, as well as to refer the patient to therapeutic manipulations in a timely manner.
Competences
1.To interpret and analyse data obtained during endoscopy examinations for diagnosis and differential diagnosis.

Participation in certain endoscopies for children of different ages, interpretation and analysis together with the study course leader.
After each study course, the theoretical and practical knowledge of the medical resident is assessed on a 10-point scale by the study course leader, making an entry in the medical resident book.
