About Study Course

Objective

To create awareness of ergonomics as a science that studies the human relationship with work, of the role of ergonomic occupational risks in provision of the employees’ well-being, of occupational ergonomic risk management in organisations and the risk assessment methods, to analyse and solve the problems encountered by a working team.

Preliminary Knowledge

Basics of management, labour resource management in Europe.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students will be able to explain the nature of ergonomics and to define the role of ergonomics in provision of employee well-being and the effectiveness of the organisation in accordance with ergonomics theories.

Skills

1.Students will be able to identify the most relevant descriptors of ergonomics and use them in their practical work within the organisation to develop effective ergonomic interventions, to analyse the work environment risks and to conduct ergonomic analysis of work.

Competences

1.Students will be able to evaluate the role of ergonomics in ensuring effectiveness of each organisation, as well as to assess the occupational ergonomic risks and develop preventive measures for improving the working environment.
