About Study Course

Objective

To train residents for work in pathology centers and departments with the aim of determining precise diagnosis of the disease in skeletal system in biopsy, operation and autopsy material.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Knowledge about newest cartilage investigation methods, slide preparation, non-oncological cartilage diseases and differential diagnostics.

Skills

1.Permanently dissect the cartilage operation material by certain standards, to do the permanent microscopic examinations of cartilage in a variety of non-ocological and oncological processes.

Competences

1.Decision to make a diagnose in the hard tissue operation material.

Exam with 3 orally opened questions about the topics discussed in the course of the cartilage operation materials, non-oncological and oncological cartilage diseases. Practical test with 5 slides and demonstration of grossing technique in different cartilage operation materials.
