About Study Course

Objective

To promote the development of the professional competence of students in the organisation and management of swimming teaching and learning, taking into account individual opportunities and conformity of students with the learning outcomes to be achieved, as well as to enable students to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in swimming and organisation of student competitions with facilitated or changed regulations. Understand and use safety regulations at and on water.

Preliminary Knowledge

Foundations for dynamic anatomy, foundations for swimming biomechanics, foundations for physiology. Ability to swim at beginnings level.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.1. Knows the importance of swimming skills: how life needs skills; possibilities for developing physical characteristics in water, health-enhancing skills. 2. Knows how to teach the technique of body movement in water and how to swim, means of teaching. 3. Formative, summatical assessment and self-assessment in the acquisition of swimming exercises.

Skills

1.1. Control and regulate: breathing while swimming with body balance moving in water in a horizontal position. 2. Demonstrates various forms of facilitated swimming (swimming without lifting hands out of water and swimming patterns (neck on back, neck on chest, brass, butterfly style) and elements of applied swimming (diving, sideswim, water jumps), 3. Practically plans, conducts, assesses the initial phase of swimming teaching class and the order in which swimming types are taught.

Competences

1.1. Able to plan, manage and individualise the learning process in a variety of swimming exercises and playthings, according to all degrees of education. 2. Able to analyse and evaluate the pedagogical means, methods, techniques and means of swimming applied. 3. Able to develop clear criteria for assessing the growth of learners (Create test swimming exercises in some stages of learning). 4. Be able to identify safety hazards and risks in different environments and situations in swimming, take preventive safety measures. 5. Capable of creative selection of training tools in the acquisition of swimming exercises, integrating health and safety content, fields of other subjects, translational skills and values. measures by selecting the most appropriate problem-solving strategies.

Grade
1.

Basic exercises during the initial teaching phase. Respiratory consistency with balance and movement movements.

30.00% from total grade
10 points

Create a plan for 3 classes for the initial stages of swimming and deliver one lesson.

2.

Order of teaching of swimming types (brass, butterfly style, Kraul on his back, Kraul on his chest).

30.00% from total grade
10 points

Describes the order in which swimming types are taught. Demonstrate swim type skills (brass, butterfly style, Kraul on his back, Kraul on his chest) by floating 25 m. To apprehend technical deficiencies for another student/student.

3.

A demonstration of swimming skills.

10.00% from total grade
10 points

Swim 400 metres without time control in the chosen form of bathing (all types of swimming can be used), technically correct when breathing with exhalation in the water. To apprehend technical deficiencies for another student/student.
