About Study Course

Objective

To provide postgraduates with up-to-date knowledge of paediatric surgical dentistry for the improvement of practical and scientific work.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Know the anatomical, physiological and immunological features of the child's face - jaw region and the development of face-jaw pathologies; in children's age Modern examination methods used in the practice of children's surgical stomatology are named. Defines the complex and surgical interdisciplinary treatment methods of inflammatory processes, injuries, formations, acquired and hereditary pathologies.

Skills

1.Examination of a patient; Extraction of teeth and wound care; Assessment of radiological images; Puncture and biopsy material; Clinical case presentation and evaluation; Local anaesthesia, i/o incisions, ligament correction; Assistance in surgery.

Competences

1.Specific characteristics of the examination of children; Principles of surgical treatment and interdisciplinary aspects of oral, facial and jaw diseases.
