About Study Course
Objective
Encourage student knowledge acquisition about the different types of fitness classes.
Preliminary Knowledge
Preliminary knowledge about physical activity is recommended, but knowledge may be obtained also during educational process, if it has not been previously mastered.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.As a result of the study course acquisition students will be able to: • describe the different types of health-promoting fitness; • list and classify health gymnastics; • define concepts – Aerobics, Step Aerobics, Pilates, Body Toning, Fitball, etc.; • describe the structure of the fitness class; • describe the workout load for each of the fitness types offered.
Skills
1.Having completed this study course, the students are able to: • use strength, balance, stretching, flexibility and endurance exercises in different types of fitness classes; • use large exercise balls, balance equipment, small exercise balls, sticks, dumbbells and other equipment used in fitness classes; • vary the physical load in different types of fitness classes; • follow their heart rate.
Competences
1.Using the acquired knowledge and skills, students will be able to evaluate different kinds of fitness applications of their health and physical fitness improvement.

|
During the study course, students independently improve their physical fitness. During the study course, students independently perform various load training exercises to strengthen muscle and appropriate stretching exercises while working in groups. Creates an aerobic load program by evaluating the lesson intensity by controlling the SF during the lesson. Draw up and submit a specific 40 min training programme report and demonstrate it. In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must complete the study course evaluation questionnaire on the student portal. |

Participation and active participation in practice accounts for 40% of the grade (if 8 classes are attended, it amounts to 4 points). the student receives 60% of the grade (6 points in total) for performing theory and practical tasks at the end of the study course, a ratio of 1:1 (50:50). Both theory response and practical tasks are evaluated in a 0 - or 1 - or 2-point system, respectively, with a maximum of 2 points. |
