About Study Course

Objective

To develop and strengthen the student’s research skills by ensuring the ability to independently formulate and solve scientific and practical problems, using theoretical knowledge and empirical data, as well as to substantiate the results of their research with evidence-based arguments.

Preliminary Knowledge

Search and systematization of evidence-based sports science research; formulation of scientific research categories for the bachelor’s thesis; research designs and types; application of mathematical statistics methods in data processing; analysis of results.

1.Understanding of the structure and requirements of academic work, as well as the development and structuring of a scientific literature review in accordance with the research problem.

The defense of the bachelor’s thesis is organized as the final assessment and study course in the “Sports Science” programme. The defense takes place before a competent commission appropriate to each qualification, in accordance with the RSU regulations on the development and defense of qualification papers, student research papers, bachelor’s theses, and master’s theses, as well as the methodological guidelines of the “Sports Science” programme for the development of course papers, diploma papers, and bachelor’s theses.
