About Study Course

Objective

To provide students with opportunities to acquire and improve theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of traumatology and orthopaedics in order to independently deal with specific professional issues.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.The student will be able to demonstrate the acquired knowledge by: a) describing the principles of action in treating certain trauma; b) explaining the chosen treatment method; c) evaluating the possible consequences and complications of a certain trauma; d) describing the rehabilitation process required.

Skills

1.The student will be able to: a) give proper help in medical emergency situation; b) choose and apply a proper treatment method before surgery; c) choose and apply a proper conservative or surgical treatment method.

Competences

1.By using the acquired knowledge, the resident will be able to: a) make a proper diagnosis; b) evaluate given clinical and additional data; c) make a proper treatment and rehabilitation plan; d) evaluate the results of treatment and predict outcome.
