About Study Course

Objective

The aim of the course is to acquire French for social interactions in compliance with “Common European Framework of Reference for Language Learning, Teaching and Assessment” language proficiency levels A1/A2 l.

Preliminary Knowledge

Without preliminary knowledge of the French language.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.After successful completion of the study course the students will: • know and apply minimal vocabulary and phrases in everyday situations; • recognize the right order of the words in the narrative sentence and in the interrogative sentence; • recognize and be able to differentiate whether the statement or the text is related to the present, past or future activities; • understand ordinary French vocabulary, language structures and regularities for ordinary texts.

Skills

1.After the successful completion of the course the students will be able to: • find the necessary information in the text, use appropriate phrases to start a conversation, pass the information and maintain the conversation; • understand ordinary texts about everyday topics, letters, invitations, classified ads, announcements in the airport or in the train terminal about the moving of the traffic, weather broadcasts and other authentic materials; • shortly tell about himself/herself, his/her relatives, living conditions, studies, respond to the questions, make questions, using the common language structures; • write an informal letter; • comprehend and be able to use the grammar structures needed in the daily communication.

Competences

1.After successful completion of the study course, the students will be able to use the acquired lexical expressions and the language structures in daily communication.
