About Study Course

Objective

To promote mastering of students’ cognitive methods, to learn the principles of “Fair Play” as a basic requirement of sports ethics, to develop experience of creative activity, to promote the development of students’ autonomy in solving research tasks. To provide knowledge and skills to work in a multicultural environment.

Preliminary Knowledge

General secondary education. ICT, foreign language, communication skills, knowledge in general pedagogy, philosophy of sport, history of sport, adult education.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.The main events of the Olympic movement chronologically, main issues and problems of building intercultural competence in sport classes have been learned.

Skills

1.Knows how to ask questions about the given topic; knows how to evaluate, compare information, and apply logical reasoning; capable of being tolerant in a group discussion.

Competences

1.Able to formulate their opinion based on facts; demonstrates the relevance of the content presented to the subject; demonstrates the skill of structuring work logically; demonstrates appropriate language skills.

1. To independently summarise materials, develop and present creative tasks. To analyse and assess the results, to draw conclusions. To develop a reasoned essay on the topic “Olympic principle – fair play in both sport and life.” 2. Students write and present their independent work or group work (as instructed by the lecturers) on topics: sport abroad nowadays; games, sports of various peoples, ethnic groups.
