About Study Course
Objective
To ensure acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in order to prepare an oncologist for thorough understanding of radiation biology, different types of radiotherapy and application opportunities in the complex tumour therapy.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Knowledge of the location of the radiotherapy in the complex tumour treatment scheme, potential complications and application restrictions.
Skills
1.Ability to consult a patient about the possibility of radiotherapy in the particular situation, as well as recognize and assess the acute and late side effects of radiotherapy and be competent in their prevention and treatment possibilities.
Competences
1.Assessment of the radiotherapy side effects (20), assessment of paraclinical tests in order to determine suitability of a patient for the radiation manipulations to be made (20)
