About Study Course

Objective

To provide theoretical knowledge acquisition in the area of genetics of childhood leukemias, in the area of molecular diagnostic methods, in the area of congenital syndromes related to tumours.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Use of knowledge about molecular diagnostic methods, understand the concept of minimal residual disease in paediatric onco-haematology. Recognise congenital syndromes related to tumours.

Skills

1.Apply in practice minimal residual disease (MRD) in diagnostics in childhood leukemias, analyse MRD results and influence to choice of therapy.

Competences

1.Use of genetic testing results to correct and prompt diagnostics, application of these tests, analyse feasibility of genetic methods, influence of choice for target therapy.
