About Study Course
Objective
Acquaint doctoral students with the guidelines of modern ethics in healthcare and research and their application in practice – current challenges and possible solutions, develop ethically justified attitudes toward towards patients and colleagues, as well as other people involved in medicine and research.

Knowledge
1.Know terminology of ethics, regulatory documents related to health care and research processes, basic principles and codes of ethics.
Skills
1.Know key issues related to health care and research ethics, able to address problems, identify ethical challenges related to the context of biomedical research, analyse cases and analyse ethical issues related to the research design, evaluate the ethical arguments used in the description of biomedical research.

A presentation prepared independently, selecting one of the list of topical topics offered or, by agreement with the lecturer, regarding the current problem of his or her doctoral thesis, if it complies thematically with the topic to be discussed in the course. In the lecture of the lecturer of the course, which takes place in the form of a dialogue, the doctoral student shall provide a 15-minute presentation on the chosen topic. After the presentation, at the end of which questions are raised for discussion, the doctoral student moderates the discussion. A doctoral student searches for literature independently. |
