1.Having successfully acquired the course, students will be able - to recognize professional terminology in various texts - to recall social work related English terminology - to describe social work related phenomena using English terminology
Skills
1.Having successfully acquired the course, students will be able - to choose and apply terminology for oral and written communication (in giving presentations, in discussions, in writing texts) - to use appropriate language structures in oral and written communication - to make summaries both orally and in a written mode with appropriate use of terminology - to render the contents of texts and to find certain information in various information sources
Competences
1.Having successfully acquired the course, students will be able to apply social work related terminology in various communicative situations.

Individual and paired work - preparation of presentations, working with a dictionary - interpretation of terms; writing summaries using the given principles for texting, completing the study course assessment. |

- active participation in practical activities; qualitatively executed written housework, quality of oral answers; - presentation In the presentation, the student displays his or her oral skills and understanding in English: prepared monologue (compilation of information, presentation of opinion), dialogue (answers to questions, asking questions). - two controls verification of knowledge and practical use of acquired terminology; - at the end of the course, an examination consisting of writing a scientific Article or a summary of a scientific presentation. - The final mark is calculated based on the results of the test (56%), the result of the presentation (28%) and the result of the writing task (16%) |
