About Study Course

Objective

To learn the peculiarities of adult pulmonology in case of various diseases (asthma, COPD, malignant diseases, disseminated processes, acute inflammatory processes, allergic and immunological diseases) - principles of diagnosis and treatment.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.To know the specifics of various diseases (asthma, COPD, malignant diseases, disseminated processes, acute inflammatory processes, allergic and immunological diseases) in adults, clinic, diagnosis, prevention options and treatment principles.

Skills

1.To be able to draw up a diagnostic and treatment plan for various diseases (asthma, COPD, malignant diseases, disseminated processes, acute inflammatory processes, allergic and immunological diseases) in adults.

Competences

1.To use the acquired knowledge and skills to perform the functions of a highly qualified specialist and consult pulmonology patients, be able to analyse cases, formulate a diagnosis, substantiate one’s opinion, draw up a treatment and diagnostic plan.

Reports, clinical cases, latest literature reviews are prepared during each study course. In addition to seminars, medical residents carry out research and pedagogic work, and attend problem lectures organised by the Faculty for Continuing Education on medicine and other interdisciplinary issues and theory guidelines.
