Preliminary Knowledge
In physiology, pharmacology, pathological physiology.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.After successfully fulfilling the requirements of the study course, students will have acquired knowledge about groups of pharmacological agents, medications used in care, their mechanisms of action, side effects, peculiarities of use.
Skills
1.As a result of learning the study course, students will be able to evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of medication care, side effects, educating the patient about the correct use of medication.
Competences
1.As a result of studying the study course, students will be able to: 1. Assess the patient's condition during medication use, analyze it. 2. Anticipate the patient's problems related to medication use. 3. Plan medication administration, patient observation during and after medication administration. 4. Analyze the positive and negative effects of medications on the body. 5. Take measures in case of adverse effects of medication. 6. Inform the patient, relatives, other health care workers about the possible effects of medications, problems and the possibilities of reducing them. 7. A cumulative assessment may be awarded to a student if all intermediate examinations have been passed for the first time and the score obtained in each of them is at least 8 (eight points) or the student has obtained at least 75% of the maximum possible score in the relevant intermediate examination. No cumulative assessment shall be granted if: - the student has not participated in at least one intermediate examination without justification; - minimum requirements for weekly classes have not been met - violations of academic integrity have been found. Cases which do not fall within the above conditions are dealt with on an individual basis. In the case of a cumulative assessment, the final mark (overall course score) is determined as the mean mark from the two intermediate course tests, provided that the weekly class tests are also 75% successful (7 weekly class tests must be successful). If the student has not been awarded a cumulative assessment, the student shall take the examination. The overall score of the examination consists of 20% of the class tests passed (20% = 9 class tests, 55% to be admitted to the examination) + 30% of the arithmetic mean score of the two successful cross-examinations in the balls + 50% of the arithmetic mean score of the successful examination in the balls. |
