Objective
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.The student will know: • Recognize the symptoms of acute heart disease. • Identify other diseases characterized by chest pain. • Describing the indications and principles of invasive diagnostic and treatment methods in cardiology. • Apply emergency pharmacotherapy in cardiology.
Skills
1.The student will be able to: examine and treat patients in the cardiology department and intensive care unit: • diagnose acute coronary syndrome and myocardial infarction clinically and electrocardiographically and provide emergency care at the stage of pre-hospital and hospital admission department; • differentiate chest pains of cardiac and non-cardiological origin; • electrocardiographically diagnose disorders of the heart conduction system (AV blocks, bradyarrhythmias), atrial rhythm disorders, ventricular rhythm disorders.
Competences
1.Competence – examination and treatment of cardiac patients under the supervision of a specialist, choosing the most appropriate treatment methods and organizing team work.
