About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition and development of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the therapy of pain syndrome by using multimodal and multidisciplinary care model.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.The student demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of multimodal therapy of pain syndromes that conform to the requirements of sub-speciality. The student defines the indications of multimodal pain therapy and the indications of therapy method selection in accordance with clinical situation. The student interprets and evaluates the efficacy and results of the applied therapy.

Skills

1.The student uses the skills of evaluating the selection of multimodal therapy method and efficacy thereof in order to perform the professional functions of a qualified specialist in pain syndrome care and performs the manipulations provided for by the programme.

Competences

1.Formulates and critically analyzes the indications of multimodal treatment of pain syndromes according to the clinical situation and the justification for the choice of individual treatment methods, evaluates research in the field of pain therapy, performs the necessary additional analysis, justifies the decision, demonstrates understanding and ethical responsibility.

The final assessment of the course consists of: 1. All manipulations provided for by the programme have been performed in the required amount – 20% 2. Full volume of each rotation cycle has been acquired – 50%. 3. Successfully passed the knowledge test (75% of the answers are correct) - multiple-choice test – 30%
