About Study Course
Objective
To develop the skill to choose and use methods and techniques according to the situation and the specificity of the group of clients/patients, to provide Master’s students with an opportunity to master drama therapy methods and techniques in dealing with different groups of clients/patients, to develop the skills to apply therapeutic interventions and techniques in the therapeutic process appropriately.

Professional Activity in Arts Therapy and Its Legal Basis; Evaluation Principles and Process in Arts Therapy; Personality and Development Psychology; Individual Consultancy in Arts Therapy; Drama Therapy I.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.Students describe and compare different branches of drama therapy and explain the peculiarities of drama therapy process organisation while dealing with various groups of clients/patients. Describe the specificity of the individual and group drama therapy process. Substantiate the choice of various drama therapy methods and techniques within the context of a group of patients. Analyse the structure of the drama therapy process.
Skills
1.Students choose and apply drama therapy methods and techniques according to the client/patient group and the goal of drama therapy, lead the drama therapy process, analyse its dynamics and interpret the results obtained, as well as draw up the minutes of the drama therapy process. They empathically reflect, adapt to the client/patient and gradually build a non-verbal relationship, provide verbal and non-verbal support to the client/patient. They discuss the approaches of drama therapy in an argumentative manner.
Competences
1.Students demonstrate the ability to choose and apply drama therapy methods and techniques according to the needs of the client/patient and the goal of drama therapy, to lead the drama therapy process individually and in a group, as well as to analyse the drama therapy process and their own professional strengths and development needs, including regular self-reflection.

Regular self-reflection on professional development in a diary. Independently consolidate the lecture material by reading the given sources. Literature search, selection, analysis, including current research and international databases, with the aim of understanding the specifics of drama therapy work with different groups of diagnoses and patients/clients. |

Prepare a summary using scientific literature and research on the work of drama therapy with a specific client/patient group. The summary should include a theoretical basis, drama therapy goals, as well as the methods and techniques used. The volume of the summary is approximately 800 words. At least four literature sources must be used. The work must be submitted electronically. |

Prepare a short theoretical review (how to work with a particular client/patient group) for the case selected for the lottery. Include an assessment of the client/patient's difficulties and functioning based on the diagnosis and life history, formulate the goals of drama therapy and develop a plan for 10 drama therapy sessions, justifying the choice of planned methods and techniques (session goal, theme, DT - warm-up, action and closing phase techniques with a short instruction and purpose of use, planned interventions, session duration). The volume of the work is 2000-3000 words. |
