The concept of self-efficiency in sport and physical activity
Description
Students are introduced to the concept of self-efficacy (self-efficacy) and its role in promoting health behaviours. The theoretical basis of Albert Bandura’s self-efficacy within the framework of socially cognitive theory is considered. Looks at the factors that shape and influence self-efficacy (experience, modelling, social support and emotional state). Strategies to strengthen self-efficacy in sport and physical activity are described. |
