About Study Course

Objective

To ensure the acquisition and improvement of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, in accordance with the requirements of the vascular surgery specialty regulations, in order to prepare the doctor for certification in the vascular surgeon specialty, in accordance with the regulatory documents of the Republic of Latvia.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.After completing the course, you will know: - errors and complications in the treatment of vascular damage, will be able to take all measures to reduce their frequency, - the decisive role of the staff work organization in situations up to emergency revascularization of the victim, - ways of determining tissue viability, detoxification and complication assessment methods.

Skills

1.- the ability to act quickly, concretely and follow a developed plan and guidelines, - periodically assess the condition of the victim before and after surgery, will be able to apply and change treatment tactics, - will use all diagnostic and treatment methods available in the hospital to provide quality assistance.

Competences

1.Will be able to: - evaluate and constantly cope with providing assistance to the victim, especially in difficult cases, -competently organize assistance in cases of mass injuries, - implement rehabilitation measures for patients after revascularization or amputation.
