About Study Course
Objective
To create awareness of the physiology of the child's body and pathologies related to functional disorders, the use of massage in children.
Preliminary Knowledge
Human anatomy, physiology, pathological physiology, propedeutics, classical massage.
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge
1.After successful completion of the course requirements the student will know the facts about physiological processes and regularities of child growth and development, assessment of psychomotor development in infancy, differentiation of physiology and pathology, will be able to name the origin and signs of the most common congenital and acquired health disorders, the student will know the principles, basic methodology, indications and contraindications of child massage, the basic principles of Handling.
Skills
1.As a result of the study course, students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge by examining the physical, psychometric development of the child and explaining the observed developmental disorders.
2.Will be able to evaluate the applicability of massage to children, perform classical massage on school-aged children, apply handling techniques.
Competences
1.As a result of the study course the student will be able to integrate the acquired knowledge and skills in the professional massage work with children, evaluate the obtained results.
