About Study Course

Objective

To master the equipment of the gym and the terminology used in the gym, the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for fitness trainers about exercises with different trainers and free weights, to get acquainted with the cardio training programs and tests of different manufacturers.

Preliminary Knowledge

Anatomy, sports physiology, biochemistry, basics of health sports, kinesiology.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.As a result of the study course the student acquires basic knowledge about strength trainers, cardio trainers and the terminology used in the gym, will know the names of trainers, the possibilities of trainer adjustment and exercise techniques and terminology with exercise and free weights in strengthening health and physical activity.

Skills

1.Will be able to use any strength trainers, adjust the trainers to the client's height, show the right exercise technique with trainers, free weights and dumbbells to strengthen health and achieve the client's desired goals.

Competences

1.Will be able to create effective training programs to increase aerobic performance and strength endurance, using a variety of strength and cardio machines.

Aim: to acquire and strengthen knowledge, skills and competencies about the terminology of physical exercises, technique and specifics of performing exercises, the load of muscle groups and their differences depending on different starting positions and grips. Independently acquires various course topics according to the literature sources indicated by the lecturer. Develops and executes an individual training program to increase aerobic performance and endurance.

Develop a training program for one month to increase aerobic performance and endurance, using aerobic exercises, high-intensity interval training, strength and flexibility exercises, indicating the physical activity until the start of the program, the results of physical fitness tests.

Final grade exam. Assessment consists of a cumulative exam. Students' participation in practical classes (20%), ability to name trainers and exercises terminologically correctly, to adjust trainers of different companies according to the client's height, to show exercises, to tell about the technique and specifics of performing exercises, to name working muscle groups (20%) to name exercises with dumbbells for any muscle group and to tell about the specifics of performing these exercises (20%), ability to compile a training program to increase aerobic performance and endurance (20%), assessment of aerobic performance and endurance (20%).
