About Study Course

Objective

Provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquisition and improvement in children's dermatology.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.• Be able to explain the terms of dermatology; • Describe dermatological diagnostic principles of operation and use; • Explain the pathogenesis of dermatological diseases at different ages; • Assess the dermatological patients; • Name and describe skin diseases; • Compare different methods of investigation; • Define dermatological diseases.

Skills

1.The student will be able to: • Collect relevant information on skin diseases; • Use the appropriate method for the investigation of patients with skin diseases; • Carry out differential diagnosis of skin diseases; • Choose the most suitable / appropriate therapy; • Select and make the best use of examinations in accordance with the disease and the patient's age.

Competences

1.The student is able to use the acquired knowledge of the differential diagnosis of skin diseases: • Is able to formulate skin disease diagnosis; • Differentiate skin diseases; • Interpret the data on skin biopsies; • Develop recommendations for the prevention of skin diseases.

Prepare three presentations with complex clinical cases. Teach a resident to communicate with children, their parents, educators, collect information – history, to acquire the skills to investigate dermatological patients of different age, choose and perform correctly the dermatological diagnostic procedures, appoint adequate therapy, draw up contingency plans, carry out epidemiological measures.
