Preliminary Knowledge

Female anatomy, physiology, genetics, pathological anatomy, propaedeutics, internal diseases, general surgery, pharmacology, laboratory and functional diagnosis, radiology, health care organisation and medical ethics.

Learning Outcomes

Competences

1.As a result of acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge, the student is able to: - perform cytology for the diagnosis of cervical cancer; - take vaginal smears and cultures for determining the microflora; - perform a bimanual examination of the uterus and uterine appendages; - identify the main gynaecological pathologies; - advise women on the choice of contraceptive methods.
