About Study Course

Objective

Development of professional competences of students in the teaching of techniques for sports games (football, volleyball). Acquisition of forms of organisation of sports classes, taking into account individual opportunities of learners and compliance with the learning outcomes to be achieved. Providing opportunities for students to acquire theoretical knowledge of sports rules and the application of techniques in competition conditions

Preliminary Knowledge

The level of knowledge, skills and skills required to start didactic studies of sports games (football, volleyball) must meet the requirements of the sports standards of mainstream schools.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.1. Know the history and development of sports games (football, volleyball) in Latvia and the world. 2. Know the classification of techniques for all sports games (football, volleyball). 3. Know the rules of the sport (football, volleyball) and the refereeing gestures. 4. Understand the main basic principles for creating a sports conspectus. 5. Know the English terminology of sports games (football, volleyball).

Skills

1.1. Is able to apply the main techniques in the relevant sports game. 2. Is able to create a training practice report in accordance with the specific tasks of the class, following the requirements of the sports standards of mainstream schools. 3. Can communicate and answer questions about the topic during the study course.

Competences

1.1. Ability to plan, manage an interdisciplinary and individualized learning process in sports games. 2. Ability to critically analyse and evaluate the teaching methodology applied and their compliance with the ability of learners and the requirements of the sports standards of mainstream schools. 3. Teach to select and apply the necessary competences to the educator for the implementation of the learning process. 4. Ability to operate both individually and in groups to adapt to changing event conditions.
