About Study Course

Objective

To acquaint students with the content of the politics and to provide an in-depth understanding of the political processes within the state and in interstate relations. Tasks: 1. To have knowledge of the content of the politics and political systems; 2. To understand the functioning of political ideologies; 3. To be able to orient in the political processes in Latvia and in interstate relations.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Ability to demonstrate comprehensive and specialised, proper knowledge and understanding of contemporary political tendencies and political processes in Latvia and in the world.

Skills

1.Students are able to explain the history of politics, its main directions, its development and tell about the most important politicians in Latvia and in the world.

Competences

1.Ability to describe and analyse practical problems related to various fields of politics, as well as select and use information for communicating with the public in the field of politics.
