About Study Course

Objective

To integrate patient care and related manipulations in accordance with the profession standard, nursing ethics, and the knowledge, skills and competences acquired during the 1st year of study and 3rd semester of the 2nd year of study. To apply positive communication skills to the care process of the patient, as well as working with his/her relatives and other team members. To base the practical activity on legal and ethical principles.

Preliminary Knowledge

Clinical care and rehabilitation of the patient, Pharmacology, Patient and work environment safety, Surgical and Internal diseases.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge

1.Students successfully apply theoretical knowledge in practice by performing patient care according to the standard of the nursing profession. Students properly and safely manipulate care by following clinical minutes and guidelines.

Skills

1.Practical skills in carrying out clinical procedures, including: enteral and parenteral input of medicines, sample collection for laboratory investigation, preparation of a patient before diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, carrying out surgical procedures.

Competences

1.Students will be able to apply positive interaction skills effectively by providing empathetic and respectful communication with patients and their loved ones, working on the team and working with doctors, other nurses and the multidisciplinary team. Will be able to identify and address potential risks to patient safety, patient clinical skills and care will be provided in compliance with infection control and hygiene requirements.
