About Study Course

Objective

To provide postgraduate theoretical and practical acquirement and improvement of skills to qualify doctors to be practitioners in general surgery according to requirements of regulation, corresponding to the normative documentation of the Latvian Republic.

1.• Microscoping kidney, prostate, testis, urīpšļas histological preparations. • Be able to differentiate neoplastic alterations in tissue from benign tissue and the most common forms • Operations of the material of the primary treatment: the prostate and kidney cancer Preparation for laboratory processing.

• Detailed theoretical knowledge of an increased incidence of acute urological disease etiology, pathogenesis, morphology. • Pathology of the methodologies used, insight immunocytochemistry, molecular pathology, cytogenetics. • The material preparation of transmission and pathology laboratories. • Primary processing principles of surgery and biopsy material. Theoretical education - seminars: • Prostate, bladder, kidney, testis, normal anatomy, histology. • Prostate, bladder, kidney, testis oncological diseases. Tumor histogenesis, histology, nomenclature, used in diagnostic methods of pathology, tumor stage and grading. • Insight into the kidney tumor target therapy principles in relation to the molecular pathology. • Prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular non-oncological diseases.
